We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in the medical industry.
This is a permanent role that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on an organization that is at the forefront of medical advancements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team, preparing and analyzing financial statements, monitoring and reviewing financial data, and implementing process improvements.
This role also involves preparing tax returns and working with the Sage 100 accounting software.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the healthcare industry and will thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure a high level of performance and engagement.
Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Regularly monitor and review financial data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead the implementation of these initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Utilize Sage 100 accounting software for various accounting operations.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and recommendations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the healthcare industry.
At least 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
Proficiency in Sage 100 or similar accounting software.
Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations.
Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
Proven experience in process improvement and change management.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
